Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that the Reds will take on the entire contract.
Source confirms Ke'Bryan Hayes is heading to the Reds for Taylor Rogers and Sammy Strafura (Reds #9 prospect). I'm told the Reds will take on all of Hayes' deal. Rogers' money makes this a wash financially for the rest of the season. Jared Triolo will take Hayes' spot at third…

The Trade:
Reds Acquire:
Ke’Bryan Hayes
Pirates Acquire:
Sammy Strafura (SS, Cin No. 9 prospect)
Taylor Rodgers
The Scouting Report:
We probably already know what Ke’Bryan Hayes (.254/.307/.369 career slash line), and Taylor Rodgers (3.28 ERA) bring to the table. This scouting report is about Sammy Strafura. His grades (Hit: 50 | Power: 45 | Run: 65 | Arm: 55 | Field: 55 | Overall: 50) don’t jump off the page, but the 6 foot SS has ascended through the minors quickly. He reportedly should stay more athletic in the box, and he also has some trouble catching up to high velocity fastballs. He was drafted in the 2nd round, but he was over slot value. You could see him in the majors for the Pirates very quickly.
