What If Yoshinobu Yamamoto Got Injured for the Season?

With the Dodgers suffering multiple (ok, a lot of) pitching injuries (Rōki Sasaki, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, etc) how many more pitching injuries can they weather? I’ll be looking at what would happen if one specific Dodgers starter got injured. Their number one starter, Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Who would fill in for him? How would the Dodgers weather the storm? If Yamamoto got injured, what teams could cease the opportunity to get ahead of the Dodgers? All these questions, and more answered.
WHO WOULD FILL IN FOR HIM?:
At this point, the best option would be Bobby Miller. He’s in Triple A, but not doing very well. He’s 1-1 with a 4.63 ERA, and a 1.49 WHIP. The other option could be Justin Wrobleski. He’s not much better though. 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA, and a 1.52 WHIP. Both of those pitchers have had one start with the Dodgers. Wrobleski has had a relief appearance. In their stints in the majors, Bobby Miller is 0-0 with a 18.00 ERA, and a 3.00 WHIP. Wrobleski is 1-1 with an 8.00 ERA, and 1.33 WHIP.
HOW WILL THE DODGERS WEATHER THE STORM?:
Their offense. The Dodgers offense is key because, for the Dodgers to be able to contend with a mess of an offense, they have to have their offense scoring runs at a very high rate. And by high rate I rean 6-7 runs a game. Scoring that many runs a game will keep them in contention, even when you have someone pitching who’s not a quality pitcher.
WHO CAN THEY TRADE FOR AT THE TRADE DEADLINE?:
Here are a few names:
Tomoyuki Sugano (BAL)
Framber Valdez (HOU)
Sandy Alcantara (MIA)
Edward Cabrera (MIA)
Andrew Heaney (PIT)
Mitch Keller (PIT)
Erick Fedde (STL)
Peter Fairbanks (TB)
WHAT WOULD THEIR ROTATION LOOK LIKE IF YAMAMOTO GOT INJURED?:
Their rotation would look something like this (if Yamamoto got injured):
Shohei Ohtani
Landon Knack
Clayton Kershaw
Dustin May
Bobby Miller
Hopefully Yamamoto doesn’t get injured, but if worst comes to worst, this is what would happen. Thanks for reading!
